(EDIT 04 – FINAL) – IT HAS BEEN SOLVED

1. Start > Run
2. Run this: “c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts”
3. Please remove the brackets
4. Open using notepad (temp)
5. Insert

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

after “localhost” in a new line.

it should look like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost
65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

6. Save it
7. Run Msn Live 8.0
8. If if fails, make sure the file is saved
9. Try again.

(Edit 01) [Disclaimer] Use at your own risk. =)
(Edit 02) it’s a fairly dirty fix. Be sure to remove the two entries once the problem has been resolved on the server end. i.e msn new patch etc…
(Edit 03) Bypassing messenger.hotmail.com to some NS server is not the best way to do this , and many people doing that will cause the NS server to overload… or to stop accepting connections…

Do that at your own risk…

(Edit 04 – FINAL) SOLVE>> PLS REVERT BACK TO ORGINAL SETTING
